Aims of the course:
This course is for qualified counsellors, therapists and body workers who seek to expand their knowledge of the subtle interface between body/mind and soul. Drawing on the wisdom of the most ancient traditions such as the chakras and the energetic pathways, also called meridians, we will embark on the exploration of energetic processes at play during our early developmental stages, uncovering the multi-level repercussions on our body/mind and soul when the energy is disturbed, impaired or totally blocked by traumatic experiences.
We will draw a parallel between the chakras and the developmental structures described by Reich (Schizoid, oral, masochistic, psychopath and rigid).

Training methods:
The course will contain experiential, theoretical and skill based input. Participants will be expected to work with their process and through their connection to Body/Mind and Soul. Fostering a better understanding of our own character can only enhance the quality of our presence.

Objectives of the four seminars:

The entire chakra system will be presented and a brief introduction of the seven chakras, their physical and emotional characteristics and relationships to each other will be introduced however the course will remain focused on the first four chakras as most of our psychopathology remains largely at this level.

1. Root chakra
2. Sacral Chakra
3. Solar plexus
4. Heart

Syllabus and dates:
> First Weekend: 18, 19 & 20 September 2009
The Root Chakra, the Schizoid character structure
Situated at the base of spine, the Root chakra is the foundation of the entire chakra system. Without a strong foundation, we struggle maintaining appropriate boundaries, holding our ground, feeling secure. We end up cutting ourselves off from our ground, our body....

> Second Weekend: 4/5/6 December 2009
The Sacral Chakra - The Oral

From the element Earth we move to the element Water and learn the fluidity of movement, emotions and pleasure. Our relationship to the pleasure principle will enhance our capacity to receive life and feel fully alive...

> Third Weekend: 29, 30 and 31 January 2010
The Solar Plexus - the Psychopath

From the element Water we move to the element Fire where we harness the energies of Will and Action. Our sense of autonomy is key to the sound development of this stage....

> Fourth Weekend: 30 April, 1 and 2 May 2010
The Heart - the Masochist

Meeting the other from the Heart is only possible when the other stages have reached their harmonious development otherwise we keep falling back on old patterns, shutting down the energies of Love...

Frania Le Guilly has trained in Psychosynthesis in the late 1980's and pursued her career as a psychotherapist/supervisor and trainer in a multitude of professional background.
Before starting her counselling career she trained as an acupuncturist and has always felt a special interest to the role that "energy" plays within and beyond the human body/psyche. To this effect she has trained in many modalities (i.e. Family constellations, Reichian Bodymind, Seemorg Matrix, Bio-energy therapy) to assimilate and integrate the energetic intelligence within a psychotherapy practice. She practices Yoga and holds a keen interest in Voice work and more particularly Indian classical music.
She holds an MSc in Psychosexual Psychotherapy, is BACP Accredited an UKCP Registered.
